We utilize Squire Scheduling to assist our barbers with the organization of this schedules, and we also provide our clients with numerous ways to schedule with their favorite barber, including a custom PMBS app.

Products sold in the barbershop under a barbers account will pay out 30% of the sale to the barber.

Interviews are conducted after work hours on days of operation or, on Monday mornings.

Our Hiring Process

Step 1: Send us an interview request using the form.

Step 2: Go through our interview process

Step 3: Once accepted

  • Applicant with an active Indiana barber license

    • Agree to a 1-year paid contractual apprenticeship* to learn the post-modern ropes. 

  • Applicant without an active barber license 

    • Licensed cosmetologist:  Agree to a 1-year paid contractual apprenticeship* to learn the post-modern ropes. During the year apprenticeship, you must be enrolled in the 3-month cross-over barber program with Ravenscroft Beauty College (or equivalent).  While enrolled, you will be able to provide limited/approved services in the barbershop.

    • Unlicensed Barber: A barber program must be completed and a license obtained before an apprenticeship* can commence.  While enrolled in a barber program, our team will work with you and offer tutelage to help you attain your license.  Upon graduation, you must agree to a 1-year paid contractual apprenticeship* to learn the post-modern ropes. 

* A paid contractual apprenticeship will include time behind the chair providing services. PMBS will assist in building your clientele through means of promotional advertising. You will be required to become familiar with the PMBS brand and mission, including the brands PMBS uses and sells as well as the way in which WE cut hair. 

  • Post apprenticeship

    • A vote will take place among the PMBS barbers on whether a subsequent contract will be offered to you, the applicant.

  • The post-apprenticeship contract

    • 3-year contract benefits​

      • operate as a commissioned barber at PMBS​
      • 30% commission from product sales
      • Marketing and photo shoots to help build your social media presence
    • 5-year contract

      • operate as a commissioned barber at PMBS​

      • 35% commission from product sales

      • offered 1 applicable school of choice paid for by the barbershop (each school attended at the expense of the barbershop, requires pre-approval and another 5-year commitment, and cannot be attended within 3 years of your last school completion date. Examples include, but are not limited to:

        • Specialty schools for toupee/hairpiece or SMP (subdermal micro pigmentation)​

        • Advanced Barber Training

        • Barber Instructor Course

      • Marketing and photo shoots to help build your social media presence.

  • As PMBS grows, so will the opportunities for contracted PMBS barbers.
